Privacy Policy

This Discord application ("the bot") is operated personally by its owner. This policy describes what data the bot collects, why, and how it is handled.

1. What is collected

When you interact with the bot — by sending a DM, using a slash command, or triggering an interaction — the bot may receive and process:

• Your Discord user ID, username, and display name
• The content of messages you send to the bot (DMs, slash command inputs, button clicks)
• Attachments you send to the bot (images, audio, documents) — for the purpose of processing your request
• Server and channel IDs when the bot is mentioned in a server

The bot does not read messages in server channels where it isn't directly addressed.

2. Why it's collected

• To respond to your messages and commands
• To improve reliability (debugging, error logs)
• To maintain short-term conversation history so replies have context

3. Third-party processing

Message content may be sent to AI providers (e.g. Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) solely to generate replies. These providers operate under their own privacy terms. No data is sold or shared for advertising.

4. Retention

Short-term conversation history is retained on the server for the purpose of maintaining context. Logs may be retained for up to 30 days for debugging. You can request deletion at any time (see Contact).

5. Security

Data is stored on a private server with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure; you use the bot at your own risk.

6. Linked Roles & OAuth

If you authorize the bot for linked-role verification, the bot receives an OAuth access token from Discord and uses it only to:

• Read your Discord identity (via the identify scope)
• Write role-connection metadata back to your Discord profile (via the role_connections.write scope)

The bot does not store the access token long-term beyond what is needed to complete the verification flow.

7. Your rights

You may request:

• Deletion of conversation history associated with your Discord user ID
• Information about what data is held about you
• To opt out by blocking the bot or removing it from servers you control

8. Children

The bot is not intended for users under 13 (or the minimum age permitted by Discord in your country).

9. Changes

This policy may be updated. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
